It's over.

What a year.

Well, technically I've been at this for more than a year, but I think it was about this same time last year that I made this blog.

The ending is not here. It's on the Linchpin page. I will make no apologies for it. If you have a problem with it, I don't mind. There've got to be a few holes in the thing because 'lol soft sci-fi lol i started without the details in mind and tried to make the story fit', and I'm sure some of the logic may be messed up... or is it? Events as they understand it may not be events as they happened. Not like I care now, or anything. It's imperfect, so it's time to turn around and make something different.

If that something is anything I'd like to share with you all, I'll show it off here.

Progress!

I'm 80% done writing the ending. It's helped a lot to start at the end and work my way backwards. I predict that I have about five, maybe six more pages to write, then I'm done. Oh, and I fixed that anti-aliasing issue. Turns out my nvidia control panel couldn't save the config due to permissions.

Expect Christmas gifts.

But don't peek. It's not in the spirit of the holiday.

Feel like you missed a few? Check out the Linchpin page and make sure you're up to date before reading on!

Upgrade complete.

I've updated the story pages, and am announcing a third page: Because Magic.

Each page is now completely up to date with what I have officially finished so far, including material not yet released. That means all of them. Take a look.

I would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling kids.

I've been found out. I am the ALLCAPS WRITEFAG.

"But you weren't dead at all!"
I was on a POS machine for a couple of months. That was pretty much all I could do. Plus, I'd had the idea of a transformation story kicking around in my head for awhile, and Pochi finally gave me the last update I needed: T-shirts.

"So why the ALLCAPS?"
The only game my POS machine could really play (and that I was halfway interested in) was Sam and Max. So I played a lot of that, and obviously, my favorite character is Bluster Blaster. You do the math.

So yeah. I'll probably put up the kisekae story (and name it) when I get around to updating my Linchpin and Alt Linchpin pages. Which I currently have scheduled for the ass end of never sometime next week.

Which, incidentally, is probably when you'll be seeing more of either story.
Until then, live like a windrammer as you fuck.

And I spent another weekend playing FFXIV.

Looking pretty cool there.

Closeup.

Clearly working as intended.

...Well, after next weekend, playing as much FFXIV as I can won't be quite so tantamount.

I . . . LIVE . . . AGAAAIIINNN

My computer died. So I did an overhaul for FFXIV. But I lost fucking everything, but praise be to Dawkins, as I preserved the modded files I used to write this series. However, the closest graphics settings I could find to what I remembered it being still makes the anti-aliasing look like shit, so sorry in advance.

More Alt.

So, uh, I haven't posted anything in a while. There's a reason for that, and that reason is Final Fantasy XIV.

Anyway, I feel bad for making you all wait, so here's a treat I've had sitting in my alt linchpin folder for a while nearly finished, so I went ahead and finished it up. Hope you enjoy.

There seems to be only one picture here.

That's right, my old schedule is BACK... for the time being.

Back up and running tomorrow.

In the meanwhile, enjoy a little drunken mini-rant.

MOTIVES: I started this linchpin as a response to all the stories and text adventures I keep reading where the protagonist either has no choice or only the illusion of choice, or had to automatically accept feminization and enjoy it, as if it were known and accepted and anticipated all along. That, to me, is not an interesting story. What makes a story interesting is the limitation. The physical and emotional conflict. The what-the-fuck bordering on body horror, and a little bit of magic and wonder. A few authors stand out in my mind who use this to its utmost, and after whose stories I have modeled the motivation and mood for Linchpin. Off the top of my head, the two truly exemplary ones are Genni Smith and Red Gambit. Magnificent bastards both, hat's off.

CONTENT: There's a whole lot of shit that I want to put into the story to flesh it out and give more meaning to the mechanics of the story. I have an entire series of letters and insane writings that at least one of the main characters needs to read, and I'm already careening toward some big, emotional and triumphant climaxes in their story arcs, and the ending will need to come soon after. I might just put them in an Alt Linchpin and give the MCs just enough information to finish the story. Yes, the ending is already written, I know exactly how it ends. The only problem is how to get them there.

TEXT ADVENTURE: I downloaded Twine. My first game is actually not going to be Linchpin, but more transformation-oriented like The Masculine Mystique, except with dialogue and action choices that will actually mean something instead of you choosing to do something and the narrative smacking you down or even punishing you for doing it. Also, steampunk.
